I trained as a professional dancer in the 90’s and worked professionally within musical theatre before taking the decision to concentrate on training young professionals of the future.
For the past 13 years I have worked at Reynolds Performing Arts and have successfully assisted the Managing Director in creating a ‘Grade 1 Outstanding’ college, developing performing arts and musical theatre courses, qualifications and Modules from level 2 through to level 6, for students aged 16+.
I currently work for Trinity Laban as Course Coordinator for the FDA in Musical Theatre (Performance), and lead modules on the FDA and BA Musical Theatre programes. I am very passionate about the arts and have dedicated a considerable part of my life to date developing my skills and abilities and recognise how fortunate I am to be able to combine my love of musical theatre and my career. Outside of the office I am a mum to three beautiful boys.
My background is predominantly dance focused and my main areas of knowledge and skills are focused around choreography and the teaching of ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre dance techniques. I have a skill in taking students with very little training at 16 and allowing them to achieve professional standards within considerably condensed time frames.
I have considerable experience within education and training with proven strengths in curriculum development, timetable management and leadership
I also have experience and knowledge of musical theatre as a performer, choreographer, director, assistant producer and stage manager.
My professional interests include
Musical Theatre.
Training and Teaching Methodology,
Business Development
Management Strategies.
Dance Techniques and Training,
Quality Processes
Training Elite Performers
